About Mike & Vicky McCown — Property Pulse Inspection
Property Pulse Inspection is a family-owned inspection company based in New Braunfels, Texas, owned and operated by Mike and Vicky McCown. We serve Comal County and the surrounding I-35 corridor — including Guadalupe County (Seguin, Schertz), Hays County (San Marcos, Kyle, Buda), and Bexar County (San Antonio).
Mike is a TREC-Licensed Professional Home Inspector (TREC #26408), an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI), a CCPIA-certified commercial property inspector, and an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot for aerial roof inspection. He has completed inspections on homes built from 1881 to 2026 — and yes, 1881 literally.
We inspect resale homes, new construction at every phase (pre-pour, pre-drywall, and final), 11-month builder warranty inspections, and commercial property.

Mike often says he started training for this job at the age of six.
His dad was a Master Plumber and his stepdad was a general contractor, so he spent a lot of time on construction sites assisting the experts with plumbing, electrical, framing, roofing, and even solar collector installations during Houston summers. Those early years laid the foundation for a lifelong interest in construction and in understanding what makes a home actually function. He has remodeled several of his own homes, helped others build homes from the ground up, and gained hands-on exposure to nearly every system in a house.
Mike also spent 25 years in the semiconductor industry, building and leading the teams that built the company — sharpening the communication, negotiation, and analytical skills that now show up in every report he writes and every walkthrough he gives.
He never left the technology behind. He aimed it at inspection. Mike is the founder of MAVTech and the developer of 1nspecT, an AI-native inspection platform now available to inspectors nationwide through the Apple App Store and Google Play. He is very likely the only home inspector in Comal County who writes the software behind his own reports — which is why his clients receive documentation most inspectors simply can't produce.
Mike is a graduate of American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT), an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, and prioritizes continuing education to stay current on the latest standards, materials, and building systems.
When he isn't inspecting, Mike serves alongside Vicky — his wife of more than 25 years — in prison ministry, homeless ministry, and community outreach through their church family and the Lions Club. Most weekends you'll find them playing board games with their children and grandchildren.

Vicky McCown is the brains behind the operation.
After fifteen years in the corporate world as an Executive Assistant and HR Manager, Vicky spent ten years in the public school system as a Principal's Secretary and High School Registrar. Wanting to move into ministry, she left the school district and took on managing roles in a food pantry and a homeless ministry. Several years later, she and Mike moved to New Braunfels to be closer to their grandchildren.
Building Property Pulse Inspection has given Vicky the chance to care for her grandchildren while running the business alongside Mike. Her years in administration and working with the public — her organization, creativity, sharp attention to detail, and genuine passion for serving people — are why every client and referral partner gets a real experience, not a transaction.
